I was happy to meet with Hollyburn Family Services to announce that the Government of Canada had awarded $1.2 million in Skills Link funding for the Wired 4 Success program.
Developing Canada’s youth is a priority for me. Hollyburn Family Services’ project is a concrete example of what we can achieve for youth by working in partnership with organizations in North Vancouver and how we can give young Canadians the chance to change their future.
Up to 120 youth will participate in the 17 week program which offers a combination of classroom instruction and work experience. The program is designed to help youth develop the skills and tools needed to find work, return to school, or a combination of both.
